Wooden bathtubs for 20 years

Many have tried it, we have been doing it continuously since 1997:

We design and produce the most beautiful washbasins and bathtubs made of solid wood, with the special feature that they are really not afraid of water and do not need any special care – time has proven it.

Our creations are timeless in design, have been created for generations and have been a breath of fresh air for over 20 years in contrast to contemporary bathroom design. These are the icing on the cake for interiors of every style.

Markus Horner laid the foundation stone for Ammonitum in 1997, when his urge to research drove him to make a washbasin and later a wooden bathtub for himself. Founded as a sole proprietorship in 1997, the current company name and the Ammonitum brand were launched in 2009.

The company name and the brand are derived from the ammonites, those legendary marine animals that colonized the earth millions of years ago.

Ammonitum finds its inspiration in the glamorous era of Art Deco, in which clear lines, purist symmetry and an exclusive selection of materials shaped the aesthetics of the 1920s and 1930s.

When you think of the interior design of beautiful yachts, luxury limousines and private jets, what comes first to mind? An exclusive style, the skills of a craftsman, exotic types of wood and rare marbles, high-gloss polish and fine leather? The many Ammonitum objects are characterized by all of these elements!

Numerous variants and combinations of veneers and tones of the wood used open up almost unlimited possibilities for customization for the client. In addition, we also realize objects specially designed by the customer.
